Alan started the briefing after 10 minutes of waiting. Some people were late though. Tsk tsk.
Alan covered the important point of Project 1, such as deadlines and requirements. It was all quite confusing at first, but we managed to get through it.
I'm in T03 for this block. I'm really eager to start the project because of the people I will be working with! I decided that I did not want to be in the same group as my good friends as I also want to work with other people. Moreover, being such good friends, we might not keep each other in check and our work might be lacking.
I am now in the same group as Lionel, Rachael and Tri! Lionel and I intend to major in Video whilst Tri and Rachael choose to specialize in animation. This is a good mix for the group as we can have variation in our project.
First of all, we established our Group Name. We had a few ideas at first:
- Bling Bling
- Beatbox
- Snap
We decided at last on the name Snap. We even came up with a Slogan: It’s done in a Snap! This is to show our efficiency in work! We have also established our different positions in the group!
- Group Leader: Lionel
- Secretary: Tri
- Scribe: Mallory
- Planner: Rachael
We then began to conceptualize for our project. The style for our project was to have a very youthful style in our video. Things like graffiti, street style and beat boxing popped into our minds while brainstorming. We thought of all these things as it appeals to the younger audience and is considered "hip" and "cool".
Snap also thought of some of the work from the modules we had previously taken to be chosen for the video. Some of the modules are:
- Drawing Essentials
- 2D Art Fundamentals
- 3D Art Fundamentals
- Photography
- Ideation etc.
- Audience
- Individual work to be in the video
- Concept/ Design
- Audio
- Software to be used: - Flash, After Effects etc.
- Equipment
Reflection for today? I think that our group is getting along pretty well. We have our individual roles set aside and that is a good thing as we have work split up amongst us now. I hope that we will be able to meet each other's expectations!
